The best film of the Cinema City festival according to the audience: “A Letter to My Father”
The best film of the Cinema City festival, according to the opinion of the audience, was excellent docu-drama “A Letter to My Father”, signed by Croatian director Damir Čučić. This film has been screened within the Fresh Danube Films selection and as part of the eponymous project at two more festivals: “Dorf” from Vinkovci (Croatia) and “Crossing Europe” from Linz (Austria). The next screening will be within that same project, at Belgrade festival “Free Zone” in November. This debut feature from the award-winning documentarist, who was also our distinguished guest this year, was declared the best film at the 59th Pula Film Festival. It is a magnificent docu-drama that reveals the subtleties and complexities of the father-son relationship.
