About us

The Cinema City Association is comprised of a group of young creative authors and professionals from the domain of culture, who work on various projects aimed at nurturing and promoting positive values in society.

The best-known project of the Association is the Cinema City International Film Festival, which was founded in 2008. The main objective of the festival is to promote young film authors and independent film productions from the country, the region and the world, but also present legendary authors and achievements through review programmes, organize educational platforms, and facilitate professional networking.

During its previous editions, the Cinema City International Film Festival screened over 600 films, welcomed approx. 300,000 film aficionados and more than 2,500 renowned film professionals from all over the world. Cinema City played host to the Board of the European Film Academy and numerous directors, producers, screenwriters, actors, and film professionals such as Guillermo Arriaga, Juliette Lewis, Béla Tarr, Nick Powell, Bruno Chatelin, Laurence Herszberg, Andreas Dresen, and many film stars from Serbia and the region.

In addition successfully organizing the festival, the Association is also active in the realization of other projects which support young people and their creativity, such as FeeLMS for CreativityLittle School of CreativityDanube Festivals NetworkFresh Danube Films, and Film it LouD, which are of key importance in terms of culture, education and tourism, and which are supported by European funds and international foundations.
