Michael Rittmannsberger is a writer/director based in Vienna and Berlin. His short film Abgestempelt (Punched) screened at more than 90 film festivals worldwide and won 25 awards including Best Short Film at the Gijón Film Festival in Spain, qualifying Punched for the 86th Academy Awards. In 2015, his new film The Culprit premiered at Interfilm Berlin to great acclaim and is now starting its international festival career. Michael is a Berlinale Talents alumnus, Slamdance participant and Nipkow Programme scholarship holder, where he is currently developing his debut feature project.
