In Japan, more than four million young people, many of whom hold diplomas, are working in insecure positions and are victims of the economic situation and of new working conditions imposed by employers who have realized the benefits to using temporary employees. Certain freeters, because they do not earn enough to pay rent, find themselves having to sleep in internet cafés open 24/7. They have earned the name « net refugees ». The film focuses on this new category of workers and those who refuse to accept the status quo of others.
