Kurdish-Iranian poet Sahel has just been released from a thirty-year prison sentence in Iran. Now the one thing keeping him alive is the thought of finding his wife Mina, who has believed him to be dead for over two decades and has since moved to Turkey. Determined to reclaim his life, Sahel sets out on an Istanbul-bound search. As the trip reveals itself to be a difficult journey through their lurking past, the dark silhouette of a man that has kept them apart all these years re-emerges...
