Synopsis:
Personal struggles run parallel to the economic crisis in Cuba after the collapse of the Soviet Union. It’s Mauricio’s 60th birthday. He turns on the TV to watch the Cuban baseball team in an Olympic match against the hated ‘yankees’, but before long the events of the day propel him into reflection on the past decade of his life. Director Manuel Pérez sensitively explores the complex personal and political issues affecting Mauricio’s life.
