Synopsis:
For most people, sleep comes naturally, but for some, the night turns into an ongoing struggle to drift off into oblivion. This film explores what it's like to be awake against one's will and the feelings of despair and loneliness that accompany the passing of sleepless time.
Biography:
German-born Anna Frances Ewert started her career as a theatre actor before becoming involved in filmmaking. She previously studied documentary at the Edinburgh College of Art, and since 2011, she has been a student at the University of TV and Film in Munich, where she continues to specialize in documentary filmmaking.
