Synopsis:

Vladimir Lenhart, a young avant-garde musician returns to his hometown after having traveled around the world. He has a specific goal in mind: to find artistic roots of his grandfather, Jan Lenhart, who was one of the most famous singers of Slovakian folk songs in Vojvodina. This unique road-movie-research will reveal details and peculiarities of Jans life, performances and his role in popularization of Slovakian folk music, which sings of history and tradition of Vojvodina Slovaks.

Director:

Marko Cvejic was born in 1978 in Zrenjanin. He graduated film and theater directing at the Art Academy in Novi Sad. He finished master studies on film and media at the FDA in Belgrade. Founder and president of the independent production MANDRAGORA FILM. Made over ten short and feature length films. He collaborated with several independent productions in Serbia, Slovenia, Italy and UK. He was a mentor at more than twenty cinema workshops in Slovenia, Serbia and UK. Experienced in all segments of filmmaking. He teaches film language and basics of editing at film school at Academic film centre, DKSG in Belgrade. In the past couple of years he has been exploring and presenting cultures and traditions of many nations which reside in his region. He also created several theater plays.
