Synopsis:
In this journey what happened to Pippa and states of masculinity are discussed as well as the reality of being a woman in Turkey is faced with.
This is a movie about existing as a woman in a truck or on a highway without being harrased or raped. It’s a questioning and a loud thinking of a female documentary filmmaker about trust, peace, fear and being bad.
Director:
She graduated from the Radio, Television and Cinema department of Marmara University Faculty of Communication. In 1997 she won the first, second and special jury award for the best news report – programme with the projects she realised at MIHA ( Marmara University News Agency).
She worked as a reporter at various national television channels between 1998 and 2001 as well as director's assistant in TV programmes. Also she worked at The Association of Documentary Filmmakers in Turkey (BSB) for 8 years which is the only professional union in the field of documentary.
Cicadant, her first documentary film has been screened in various festivals and won the award for the best documentary film at the 42 nd Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.
