Synopsis:
Eitan lives alone in Jerusalem and works at night at painting lines on the streets of the city. Seeking for another person’s company makes him wonder ; between imagination and reality, clarity and blurriness, on the border between identities, between the broken lines.
Director: Born in 1980. Studied art at the Tel Aviv museum school of art. Prior to his film studies, studied General Linguistics and French Culture at Tel Aviv University. Benjamin graduated the Sam Spiegel Film & Television School Jerusalem with honors in 2009. During his studies he created fiction, documentary and experimental short films: “A Quiet Street” - A 20 min. documentary film he directed in 2006, won best cinematography award at the Dakino film festival Bucharest Romania and special mention at the Tel Aviv Student Film Festival. “Rehearsal” – An experimental film he created in 2007 was screened at the Contemporary Art Museum of Rome. "Rehearsal" was also presented at the Tokyo Triennale Japan in September 2009. “Guided Tour” is his Graduation film. It won best short film at the International Jerusalem Film Festival 2009. It was also awarded The Sam Spiegel School's prizes for best film, best editing and best sound design 2009. Currently, Benjamin Freidenberg is teaching cinematic structures and linguistics at the Sam Spiegel Film School Jerusalem and is working on his first long feature film.
