Luis Buñuel’s “Belle de Jour”, released in 1967 and winner of the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival, is a story of a woman who works as a prostitute during the day, while her husband is at work. The film was based on the 1928 novel of the same name by Joseph Kessel.
