Cinema City Festival, which will take place from 6th to 14th June 2009 in Novi Sad, from today officially accepts applications for the selection Up to 10,000 Bucks. This selection is competitive and it presents films made with the budget under 10,000 dollars as well as its authors who were brave and creative enough to put their idea into a film with not much money. Applications will be accepted by 30th April. Everyone who wish to apply can use the application form on festival's website www.cinemacity.org/do10000.

Selection Up to 10,000 Bucks is created with the intention to show that making a good film does not require a big budget and enormous film crew, but creativity of the author and new technology can also lead to interesting and important creations. The invitation is open for domestic authors as well as foreign authors and all film types and genres - short, documentary, animated, feature films are welcome. The programme's selector is Dejan Zecevic, who was awarded the best director of a domestic film last year, and the coordinator of the programme is Dina Vukovic. The winning film from this selection will also be given a cheque for two thousand dollars.

Last year, the selection Up to 10,000 Bucks presented films from Japan, Greece, Serbia, Israel, Lebanon, Germany, the USA, New Zealand and Georgia, arousing considerable interest of the audience and film-makers. IBIS award for the best film as well as a DV camera was given to the film Uspavanka za decaka directed by Milos Pusic.

International Cinema City Film Festival will be held from 6th to 14th June 2009 in Novi Sad, organised by Exit Association. Last year's festival presented more than 150 films to 55,000 visitors.
