A lot better weather conditions were in favour to greater attendance in cinemas. A special film attraction was Madonna’s film Filth and Wisdom in Katolicka Porta, which had lots of audience.
The main role of the film is played by the frontman of Gogol Bordello band that performs in this year’s EXIT festival that takes place from 10th until 13th of July.
Festival visitors showed a great interest for Ballast, a multiply awarded film by Lance Hammer, which was shown in Serbian National Theatre.
Films about Glastonbury music festival, then about Beasty Boys band gathered numerous young visitors in the open-air cinema in Mileticeva Street and Dunavski park, while Felini’s classic, shown at the Youth Theatre, attracted visitors of all ages.
A special attention of younger audience and students of the film art was drawn by a film of Up to 10.000 Bucks Selection, called The Golden Nunchakas, shown in the small hall of the Youth Theatre.
Extraordinary response form the audience in all cinema locations goes in favour to a living and rich Novi Sad’s tradition as a cinema-city.
