Some Other Stories international premiere

Some Other Stories premiered at this years Cinema City Festival within competition selection National Class. The film will have its international premiere at Taormina Film Fest in Sicily. This omnibus comprised of five stories by young women directors from ex-YU countries will be screened within main competition programme. President of the jury for the main competition programme is Dieter Kosslick, artistic director of Berlin International Film Festival. The premiere will be attended by project author Nenad Dukic, director of Serbian story, Ana Maria Rossi, actors Natasa Ninkovic and Sergej Trifunovic as well as directors and producers of other stories, including Irish co-producer Ian W. Davis.


The Festival will present two special awards. Our esteemed director Emir Kusturica, winner of best lead actor award within Exit Point selection at Cinema City Festival, will receive an award for achieving a dialogue between cultures while renowned American actor Robert de Niro will receive Taormina Arte Award and will also hold a lecture on acting.

Taormina Film Fest lasts from June 12-18 2010. Since 2007 director of the Festival is film critic Deborah Young.
