Sixth edition of the Cinema City festival in August

Did you know that this August in Novi Sad will be special and different? In addition to the long-expected sun, it will be marked with original, an indie film program of the International Film Festival Cinema City 2013!

National Class, Exit Point, Up to 10,000 Bucks will remain as bright stars of the Cinema City film program. With numerous guests, domestic and foreign film crews, these selections will present the latest achievements of the national film industry, choice selection from world festivals, and quality films of young authors, made with a budget of less than 10,000 $.

The summer package of the sixth Cinema City, which will be held from August 26 to September 1, will introduce inquiring students, young film professionals and film aficionados to Cinema Campus – film educational platform that will play host to some of the most skillful lecturers and transform our knowledge into creative ideas.

Summer spent in the city will become an attractive destination in light of the parties held under the summer temperatures and films inspired by music within the Planet Rock programme.

At the sixth Cinema City you will find out all there is to know about new projects that our festival participates in. One of those is “Fresh Danube Films”, which is supported by the European Cultural Foundation (ECF). This project connects Crossing Europe Film Festival from Austria, Festival of Documentary Rock Film – DORF from Croatia, Free Zone from Belgrade and Cinema City international film festival into a friendly group geographically gathered around the Danube, and from visionary point of view around the tendency to present films and young authors from this region to the world of film, through Fresh Danube Films promotional platform. Friendly and professional relations with DORF will continue to develop through creative cooperation on the project “Film it Loud”, supported by the IPA Cross-border programme Croatia-Serbia.

This is it for now. We’re off to work. To us, here at Cinema City, it seems like August is just around the corner.
