Nik Powell is one of the leading British producers, vice-president of the European Film Academy, co-founder of Virgin Records with Richard Branson. The films he produced received many prestigious awards, including Academy Award and many other nominations. He has presided over juries of various notable international film festivals – from Sundance, Moscow and Locarno, to jury of the European Film Academy. As of 2003 he is the director of the National Film and Television School in London, where he introduced a number of new programs, and made it a leading institution for television and film education in Great Britain.
