New Media: Territories and Resources

Timetable

Territories and Resources is a new media part of Cinema City Festival that is made of an exhibition, a conference, and projections. This year’s topic, Territories and Resources, explores the phenomena of social networks, multiplayer online games, virtual worlds, and so called Web 2.0 in the context of new digital and network territories. New social technologies create new territories where contemporary social order, economy, politics, and culture reflect, deeply incorporated in the logic of info-capitalism. In the context of new territories, specific new resources appear – users, and new technologies are shaped after them. New territories are regulated with social and economic laws, which are necessary to be critically analyzed and questioned.
