Ali Asgari was born in Tehran, Iran. He graduated from management in Iran and now he is a student of cinema in Italy. He began his career as an assistant director and after working in several short and feature film he started to make his new film independently. His short films have been screened at numerous film festivals around the world. In 2013 he took part in the Berlinale Talent Campus. His short film More Than Two Hours was nominated for a Palme d’Or at Cannes 2013 and a Sundance Grand jury prize and other 200 festivals around the world.
