The comeback movie by Svetislav Prelić, Lost and Found, is inspired by existential problems of the young in Serbia nowadays. A group of young people, in their early thirties, academically educated and ambitious, cannot find motivation for their basic life requests.
They are all unemployed, and the ways to express their qualities and virtues are inaccessible to them. Two young writers, a girl who does esotericism and an archeologist do not lose their hope in waiting for better days. Deeply emotive, the movie shows the classic Belgrade milieu characteristic for the present-day of our country.
It took almost two decades of waiting for Svetislav Prelić’s film comeback. In the eighties, he directed some cult comedies, such as Šećerna vodica, Majstor i šampita, and Poltron. Lost and Found is his first project since 1989, and it is going to be shown in National Class Selection.
