Laurence Herszberg opened Cinema City 2012

Laurence Herszberg, director of the well-known Parisian film-library Forum des Images, opened this year’s Cinema City International Film Festival before the fully packed Pera Dobrinović hall of Serbian National Theatre. The audience was first addressed by the director of the Festival, Miloš Ignjatović, who expressed great pleasure that the Festival is being held in Novi Sad for the fifth year in a row, and invited all visitors to come and enjoy the rich film programme that follows for the next seven days. After Miloš Ignjatović, the audience was addressed by Laurence Herszberg, who expressed joy at being a part of such great event, and stated that she couldn't wait to see film achievements of the “new Serbian wave”.

After the opening ceremony, the film programme of the Festival officially opened a few minutes after 20:00h with a screening of the French film “Conquest”, after which the audience enjoyed a great atmosphere at a cocktail party organized on the balcony of the Serbian National Theatre, where they could exchange impressions about the film and Festival.
