Film and Media Festival Cinema City, as part of NEW LATINO CINEMA selection, will present the film Gasolina, a début by director Julio Hernández Cordón.

The film is about three teenagers who steel petrol to drive around aimlessly during nights, while having fun and constantly getting into new mischiefs. At first, it seems that we have been drawn into a story where the heroes are speeding in their parents' car for fun, however, the "childish" game gets serious. The reckless boys use every stop to "prove" their friendship in truly cruel ways.

The author of the film, Hernández Cordón, demonstrates through his seemingly innocent story, how thin the line between betrayal, deception and extreme solidarity which leads to suicide in adolescence is.
