Movies from Exit Point international selection and National Class, the selection of domestic movies, are to compete for the Grand Prix of Cinema City Festival which takes place from 14th to 21st of June in Novi Sad, in the organization of Exit Association.
Ibis award that is to be given for the best movie of the festival is also going to bring the winner a $15,000 award.
Within Exit Point, the main international competition selection, 12 independent movies are to be shown, as well as two movies outside the competition, on both the opening and closing of the festival. Various topics, directors, and genres are united by brave and uncompromising ways of showing the contemporary world. The movies come from different parts of the world, and they have been shown and awarded on many film festivals. All of the movies are going to have their premieres in Serbia.
A five-member jury is to give awards for the best movie of the festival as well as awards for the domestic selection called National Class – for the best domestic movie, best direction, photography, film music, editing, as well as best male and female leading roles. This way, every domestic movie is going to have a chance to compete with the movies from all over the world for the main award of the festival.
During the eight days, more than a hundred movies are going to be shown. Among them, a selection of movies made with less than $10,000 is to be distinguished, and the movies are to be chosen in a recently opened competition. Numerous authors from the main selection are going to participate in the festival. They are going to present their works, and participate in the interactive and educational program.
