Argentine drama "Encarnacion" is going to be shown on this year Cinema City Festival in Novi Sad, according to the movie producers and the organizers of the festival. The accomplishment of a young director, Anahi Berneri, is going to be shown in the revue selection of New Latino Film.

The story follows an actress on the wrong side of 50, whose career is behind her. She returns to her hometown for her niece's 15th birthday party. A weekend of pain and joy, awkwardness and warmth, in which she gives her niece some lessons in life – while learning some truths about herself in a hard way. The lead role is Silvi Perez; the niece is Martina Juncadella, while Luciano Caceras, Ines Saavedra, Carlos Portaluppi, Fabian Srenillas, and others also appear. The music is written by Noco Cota.

The second feature film by Anahí Berneri, born in 1975 in Buenos Aries, whose debut, award-winning "Un Ano Sin Amor" (“A Year without Love”), shown on festivals worldwide, including Berlinale, attracted strong international attention. “Encarnation” has taken a similar path, and so far it has been shown on a last year competition in Toronto, where it won an award for artistic innovation, as well as in San Sebastian, where it won prestigious award “Fipresci”. A melancholy tale about growing up, growing old and growing into the role you choose for yourself in life.

The movie lasts for 90 minutes, and it is in Spanish.
