Despite the Bad Weather – Third Day of the Festival Marked by a Great Party and Successful Indoor Screenings

High-quality Films, Good Music and Positive Mood Follow Us into the Day 4

The third day of the festival was marked by the positive atmosphere, despite the bad weather and the fact that, due to security reasons, we had to postpone all open-air screenings scheduled for the Cinema City Day 3. The festival exhilaration culminated in Firchie Think Tank Studio, where the marvelous Bebi Dol hosted a fantabulous party, featuring an excellent selection of music.

The major highlight of Monday night was the film Depth Two directed by Ognjen Glavonić – a quick reminder for those who missed the Monday screening: the reprise screening of this documentary awarded at the Open City Documentary Festival in London is scheduled for today at 6 P.M. in the Indoor Cinema.

The visitors also had the pleasure to see the film Apophenia by Marin Malešević, and the extraordinary Bulgarian drama Zhaleika, directed by Eliza Petkova.

The absolute hit of the festival – section Up to 10,000 Bucks, attracted great many visitors last night, who, despite the rain, came to see the screening of the finest low-budget films – filling up the room to last seat.

The festival visitors also had an opportunity to see the excellent photography exhibition “EU and Serbia: 15 Years of Partnership”, and attend a workshops on how to apply for the Creative Europe – MEDIA support when organizing a festival or developing an individual film project. This genuinely useful and interesting training for film professionals working in cinematography, particularly aimed at film producers and festival organizers, was conducted by Nevena Negojević from Media Desk Serbia.

Much nicer weather is expected today, and we keep on rolling in the same manner as ever – promoting high-quality film and music programs. We are proceeding with the festival scheme according to the schedule for Tuesday, June 28!
