Cinema City will officially open on June 22, with the premiere of Mina Đukić’s debut film The Disobedient. The film opening of the festival will be preceded by a music warm-up on June 21. Don’t miss this authentic and extraordinary music experience in form of a concert of Collegium Musicum choir, which will perform the most popular songs from domestic films. The concert will include Zoran Simjanović’s iconic songs, composed for some of our most notable films. These famous tunes will have charming new arrangements signed by no other than the man himself, adjusted to this unique music event. During the concerts the photographs will be projected on the big screen, reminding the audience of the characters and films that carry those tunes.
Collegium Musicum is an all-female choir that has for decades been presenting authentic music expression under the baton of Darinka Matić-Marović, who has been the choir leader since its inception. Today the choir is led by Darinka Matić-Matović and Dragana Jovanović. Many renowned music authors composed specially for this choir, which travelled the world and won the audiences and numerous awards at domestic and international festivals. All the girls from the choir are current and former students of the Faculty of Music, many of whom also went to have successful solo careers, like Ana Janković, who is a long-term member of the choir and also known to the audience as the violinist of an exceptional young and talented band Stray Dog.
