Cinema City - International Film & Media Festival will officially open on Saturday, June 5 and will last for the next eight days. Festival will open famous actress and singer Juliette Lewis, special guest of the Festival, at the opening ceremony at Katolicka porta at 20:30h. She will also perform with her band „New Romantics” that same evening at the music opening of the Festival at Petrovaradin fortress. After the official part of the opening, audience will have a chance to see “The Secret in Their Eyes”, Juan José Campanella’s remarkable achievement, this year’s Oscar winner for Best Foreign Language Film of the Year.Traditionally, Cinema City will organize a great opening party at Petrovaradin fortress. The party will be held in intrenchment where Exit Explosive stage is usually situated (ex Dance Arena). Gates are opening at 20:30h. Warm-up band is Svi na pod. After them we’ll see last year’s Cinema City soundtrack signatories, E-Play, who will provide excellent intro for Juliette Lewis and her new band New Romantics. After Juliette’s performance and until wee hours, audience will be entertained by The Good Guys whose first album “Atlas” is an official soundtrack of this year’s Festival, and spectacular DJ Rahmanee. Entrance is free but due to limited space, visitors are urged to arrive on time.
