During the eight days of the festival, Cinema City visitors have a chance to participate in Academic Program. Primarily of educational character, conceptualized as an interactive workshop, with numerous guests, foreign directors, and renowned experts from the world of film, Academic Program has a goal to share new and interesting knowledge concerning both practice and theory of film. Through creative workshops, open discussions, panels, working simulations, and seminars led by experts and professionals, some interesting topics from film areas are going to be dealt with. Furthermore, master-classes held by directors and actors are planned, as well as lectures held by producers and eminent film critics.
The program is free of charge, and it is intended for young people, students, but also to other lovers and admirers of the film art. The participants have an opportunity to achieve constructive communication, which can be positive stimulus for their future professional careers. The Academic Program is to take place in the rooms of the Youth Theatre (Pozoriste mladih).
