The party will take place in and around the museum. Starting at 21h, don’t miss the fantastic E-PLAY at the plateau of the museum, and also stay for best music videos, which will be projected on the façade of the museum.
If you’re in a mood for something different, you can go to the atrium of the museum, where Cinema City Resident DJ will perform just for you.
Entrance to both these events is free of charge.
We would also like to remind you that on that day, and at that same location, we will screen Off the Beaten Track about Portuguese music sensation Buraka Som Sistema, at 21h, and Peter Gabriel: Back to Front at 22.30h. At the Gallery of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina you will get the chance to see best short films from CC Shorts selection. The screening will start at 18h, and last until midnight.
"Best regional music video award party", which will be held at Cinema City, is part of the Danube Festival Network that Cinema City realized in partnership with – EXIT and Mikser festivals. This project is supported by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).
As a reminder: the day before E-PLAY concert, i.e. on June 26 at 21h, don’t miss the opportunity to see our new selection of best regional music videos, which was created in cooperation with MTV Media Company.
Cinema City’s and MTV’s open call at the end of May invited the authors of music videos of regional performers from Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Slovenia, whose videos first aired during this and last year. After receiving a great number of applications, the MTV team made a choice of 25 excellent music videos, which are shortlisted for the Cinema City award. The audience of the Cinema City festival will get to enjoy inventive and entertaining short films made for the songs of famous regional performers: Filip Dizdar, Bad Copy, Elemental, Van Gogh, Jarboli, Dubioza kolektiv, Aleksandra Kovač, Partibrejkersi, Gibonni, Studio Frendo, Svi na pod!, Threesome, Laibach, Who See, Krš, Skroz, Frau Casio, S.A.R.S, Lollobrigida, The Frajle, Frenkie, Detour, Gretta, Zemlja gruva! and 2Cellos.
The best music video from this regional selection will receive the Ibis award for best music video. The choice will be made by a two-person jury comprised of Aleksandar Ilić and Boris Miljković. Aleksandar Ilić was the director of photography for films such as Absolute Hundred, The Trap and Circles.
