Press conferences of the festival's first two days
On Saturday 6th June, on the occasion of festival's opening, with the beginning at 5 pm in Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad, there will be a press conference with the organisers of the Film and Media Festival Cinema City, whereas on Sunday, 7th June, beginning at 1 pm, after press projection of the film Ordinary People by Vladimir Perišić which starts at 11 am., there will be press conference with the film's crew. At 1.30 pm journalists will have the opportunity to meet the participants of Media festival as well as Media Art programme. What follows at 2 pm is the press conference with Pyotr Logachev, the actor from the film Captive by Aleksei Uchitel, which will be shown within Exit Point selection at Film and Media Festival Cinema City.
On Sunday 7th June, at 2.30 pm at Serbian National Theatre press conference with famous Mexican screenwriter, director and writer Guillermo Arriaga is scheduled. Guillermo Arriaga is considered by many to be one of the most original storytellers of today. He is the screenwriter of multi-awarded films AmoresPerros, 21 Grams, The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada,Babel, and The Night Buffalo. He is a two-time Oscar nominee for the Best Screenplay, for films 21 Grams and Babel, and for The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada in 2005 he won Palme d'Or at Cannes film festival for the Best Screenplay. He is the author of the novels A Sweet Smell of Death,Guillotine Squad and The Night Buffalo. In his honour Cinema City has prepared a programme with the films which have brought him world fame and the promotions of his two books which have been translated into Serbian language.
