In remote villages of Gora, on the slopes of the Šar Mountains, live the Gorani, a Muslim ethnic group speaking a Slavic language. The fi lm follows everyday rituals of their men. Through villages, streets, herds of sheep and cows, mosques, and taverns, the fi lm shows their simple lives, but also their natural and cultural heritage. The fi lm shows them working, singing, talking, playing, praying, taking walks, and drinking while the mountains above and around them stand as a constant reminder of the impermanence of life.
