With numerous guests from the world of film, organized workshops, lectures, and dialogues within the academic programme, visitors will have a chance to introduce themselves and directly approach current theoretical and practical challenges of the world cinematography. Excellent festival mood will be painted not only by vast audience and young film authors across the globe, but also by appealing lineups and the opening and closing music parties, which are traditionally held at Petrovaradin fortress.
Over 80,000 visitors attended this year’s festival, and a significant number of them showed great interest for the new selections – 360°, Nobarcode and Hungry Days. Cinema City 2011 will also be remembered by famous guest appearances, including Béla Tarr, Šarūnas Bartas, and Dorota Kędzierzawska, as well as many notable names from domestic cinematography. A special tone of Cinema City 2011 was given by young authors presented within the Cinema Now platform, which will continue to develop as a programme that promotes young, talented, and successful film artists.
Keep us in mind and don’t miss the opportunity to be a part of current film visions, meet extraordinary, quality programmes and repertoires from international festivals, absorb and share new film experiences at next year’s Cinema City festival, June 16 – 23. See ya @ CinemaCityFest 2012!
