Bartas at CineYouth

Beginning at 15h at The End café, as a part of the CineYouth programme, you will have a chance to talk to one of the most significant authors of the independent film, the famous Šarūnas Bartas. He is one of the most notable European modern directors. His films were screened at Cannes, Venice, Berlin and many other international film festivals.

Cinema City honored this director with a special selection,Homage to foreign author - Šarūnas Bartas, which is a retrospective of his previous work. At the panel discussion you will also get a chance to see Tiziana Finzi, selector for the Festival’s Nobarcode selection.

Finzi is a former director of the renowned Miami Film Festival, and also has a rich almost a decade long experience from Locarno, where she worked first as the programme director, and later as the deputy director. Famous festivals in Venice, Trieste, Pesaro and Taormina are also a part of her rich film career. She also achieved success in the field of visual arts, and as a curator initiated the cooperation of the Locarno film festival with notable museums and galleries across the globe.
