International, five-member jury will grade movies from the selection of international, independent film, as well as from the selection of national film.
The jury will consist of eminent foreign and domestic film artists, producers, film critics, and the directors of relevant film festivals.
Movies from both selections will compete for the festival Grand Prix, while the following awards will be given for the domestic film selection:
- The best domestic movie
- The best direction, domestic film
- The best screenplay, domestic film
- The best photography, domestic film
- The best music, domestic film
- The best actor in a leading role, domestic film
- The best actress in a leading role, domestic film
A special three-member jury will grade the movies from the selection of movies made with up to $10,000.
The jury will be consisted of domestic film authors and producers, and they will give awards for the following:
- The best movie
The jury of the FIPRESCI critics will give award for the best movie of the festival according to journalists’ and critics’ grades.

The Jury Exit Point:
Tuncel Kurtiz was born in 1936 in Turkey. He began his theatre carrier in 1958 at the University of İstanbul continued as an actor and director both in cinema and theatre. Kurtiz has performed on many stages in Istanbul, boath state and private theatres. He has also performed at Gotheburg City Theatre, Stockholm Royal Theatre and Swedish Theatre in Sweden, Schaubühne Berlin, Frankfurt City Theatre and Hamburg City Theatre in Germany. He worked in Mahhabbarata with Peter Brook in Paris and also made a world tour. During his university years he met with the renowned film director Yılmaz Güney, they became friends and made a number of films together. Their 1970 film Umut was prohibited to leave Turkey, but a smuggled copy was shown at the Cannes Film Festival.
Some of his most prominent films are The Bus, Hope, Law of the Borders, The Herd, Smile of the Lamb, The Wall, Mahabbarata and The Edge of Heaven. Being one of Turkey’s most noted actors and directors, often playing in international projects, he is also a renowmed producer and scenarist.
Tuncel Kurtiz currently lives in Turkey.
Martin Blaney has been living in Germany since 1988 and working, among other things, for the Berlin International Film Festival, Filmfest München, the Rotterdam International Film Festival and various initiatives of the European Union’s MEDIA Programme. In 1990, he became the correspondent (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) for the British film trade magazine “Screen International” and has also worked as a regular contributor to “German Films Quarterly”. In 2000, he left “Screen International” to become the Head of Press & PR at Road Movies Filmproduktion in Berlin, but returned to the magazine a year later. In addition to his journalistic activities, he has chaired seminars and workshops at festivals and served on several festival juries.
Ivan Fila was born in 1956 in Prague, Czechoslovakia. He moved to Germany in 1977 and studied Film and Drama at the Film Academy in Cologne. Since 1983 he has worked as a director, screenwriter and producer, of mainly documentaries or dramatised documentaries. Lea is his first feature film, it has received many awards, including the Crystal Star for the Best European Film at the 1997 Brussels Film Festival. Fila currently lives in Frankfurt, Los Angeles and Prague.
Labina Mitevska started her acting career in 1993 playing Zamira in Milcho Mancevski’s Golden Lion award winning film BEFORE THE RAIN. After which she resumed her studies. In 1996 she entered into a successful collaboration with Michael Winterbottom. Following WELCOME TO SARAJEVO they worked together in I WANT YOU. For these accomplishments she was chosen as one of the Shooting Stars at the Berlinale in 1998. Her latest acting credits include the Czech film LONERS by David Ondrichek, and the German film “Weg” by Michael Bauman.
In 1998 she became a member of the European Film Academy, and in the following years she was a member of the jury in Cottbus, Edinburgh, Karlovy Vary, Drezden film festivals, Finale Plzen, Palic International Film Festival, Moscow Film Festival and Mannheim International Film Festival. Labina Mitevska is also actively engaged as a selector for the Manaki brothers International Film Festival. Currently Sisters and Brother Mitevski are developing the new script Market which is due to start shooting 2010.

Born in Sarajevo, 1964. Studied Comparative Literature and Philosophy at the Sarajevo University. Graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo, Department of Directing. Completed the courses in Film Screenplay and Film Production at Groznjan Imaginary Film Academy. Author and director of numerous TV shows, documentaries and commercials. Directed six theater plays. One of the partners in production company Refresh Production Sara jevo. Producer of several short films. Professor of directing at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo. Mentor of two diploma projects: 10 minutes by Ahmed Imamovic (the European Film Academy Award - Best Short Film in 2002) and Paycheck by Alen Drljevic (Nominee for the European Film Academy Award for Best Short Film in 2005). Member of European Film Academy.

SRDJAN KOLJEVIC
director and screenwriter
Srdjan Koljevic (1966) graduated dramaturgy at the Academy of Dramatic Arts, Belgrade, where he works as a professor of screenwriting there today. He is one of the most active screenwriters in the region; author and co-author of screenplays for ten internationally awarded feature films. Co-writer of the screenplay for the film “The Trap” (2007), for which the remake rights were sold in Hollywood. His directorial debut “Red Coloured Grey Truck” (2004), earned him the widest recognition of international audience and critics. His new film “The Woman With the Broken Nose” is in post-production.
ILIANA KITANOVA.
Film and theatre actress. Graduated at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia (NATFIZ) in 1990. Her first film role was in the film by the legend of Bulgarian cinema Rangel Valchanov ‘Which Way Now a.k.a. Where Do We Go from Here’. 20 years later she played in the sequel ‘Which Way Today’ with the same actors and crew. Her other roles include films by Georgy Djulgerov (‘The Camp’ and ‘You Are So Pretty, My Dear’ and Radoslav Spassov (‘Day of Forgiveness’ and ‘Stolen Eyes’). She teaches stage speech at NATFIZ.
Padraic Delaney graduated with a BA in Theatre Studies from TCD in 2001. His theatre appearances since then include Hamlet in Hamlet at the Cork Opera House, The Yalta Game at the Gate Theatre, A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Civic Theatre, The Hollow in the Sand for Blue Raincoats Theatre and This Lime Tree Bower for The Machine. Film and television credits include: Pure Mule (Accomplice/RTE), The Cove (TG4) and The Clinic (Parallel/RTE). Padraic appeared in the leading role of Teddy in Ken Loach’s The Wind That Shakes the Barley, leading role of Fridge in Legend. He was nominated as one the Berlin International Film Festival’s Shooting Stars 2007 and for and Irish Film and Television Award for his role as Teddy in The Wind That Shakes The Barley. Padraic most recently appeared as Father Flynn in a critically acclaimed production of Doubt: A Parable directed by Nicholas Kent at the Tricycle Theatre, London.
