Synopsis:

1979. Albertine, 10, and her entire family have gathered at the family home in Brittany for the grandmother’s birthday. All are convinced that NASA’s Skylab space station will fall on their heads that summer. The get-together spirals into a crazy weekend packed with revelations, love and song.

Ye Lou was born and grew up in Shanghai, a city he would film beautifully in ‘Suzhou River’. After studying cinema at the Beijing Film Academy, the gifted young man debuted in the film career as an assistant director, a producer and a short subjects director. His second feature ‘Weekend Lover’ was both a public and critical success. ‘Love & Bruises’ is his third feature film.
